Background

If there was a change in reporting manager or the reporting manager is on leave or has resigned. The leave approving manager can be replaced in the system. 

If an employee submits a leave application while/before the manager is replaced and the leave transaction has yet to be approved, that will result in the employees’ leave transaction to be “pending”. It will continue to be in a “pending” status until the administrator replaces the manager to approve the “pending” leave. 

How to:

No Leave Transactions

  1. Login as Administrator 
  2. Go to Personnel -> Manage Employees -> Employees 
  3. Click on Replace Manager 
  4. Key in the current manager’s name/ID in the Current Manager field -> system will show you a dropdown list of names/name -> Select the correct name in the drop down 
  5. Do the same as step 4 for the New Manager field
  6. Click Search -> Employees reporting under the current manager will appear
  7. Select the selected few/all of the employees whose reporting manager will be replaced
  8. Click “Replace Selected” and the selected employees will now report to the new manager
  9. Alternatively, replacing the current manager can be done individually, please refer to question 10.

“Pending” Leave Transactions
(Please note that only the leave transactions approval will be routed. The employees reporting manager will still be the current reporting manager)

  1. Login as Administrator
  2. Go to Leave -> Manage Trans. -> Leave Trans. 
  3. Click on Replace Manager 
  4. Key in the current manager’s name/ID in the Current Manager field -> system will show you a dropdown list of names/name -> Select the correct name in the drop down 
  5. Do the same as step 4 for the New Manager field
  6. Click Search -> “Pending” Leave Transactions under the current manager will appear
  7. Select the leave transactions whose reporting manager will be replaced
  8. Click “Replace Selected” and the selected leave transactions will be routed to the new manager to approve
